I have Power Auras set up for this, Rime is a blue glowy circle in the middle of the screen with the time remaining counting down, and KM is a red circle sized to be slightly bigger so it's outside the Rime circle.

What Jeff said w/ regards to Power Auras.

It's a very powerful tool, but it requires a decent-enough sense of interaction design to make it work for you. The difference between totally-useless information overload and a clear alert system that almost scripts your interactions for you is entirely in the hands of the user.

I do something a little similar with [Serendipity] stacks in that I make the interface clearly explain how many stacks and how long I have: At just one stack it's a small version of the spell icon with low opacity. With each stack the spell icon gets bigger, more opaque, and red.

The underlying trick is to "harness the built-in properties of the underlying architecture". By this I mean that humans process the meaning of images way faster and better than text. Use this to your advantage.

Yeah, mine is similarly setup with a frosty blue swirly surround thing (how specific is that) for when Rime procs and a skull + crossbones that flashes up when KM is active...so similar, but less effective in practice. I haven't really played with it enough apparently to get it to show the timer left in the PowerAura...that part is the critical portion since I need to know when Rime gets to the point that it's too late to not use it regardless of KM.

I do have a similar setup to Jeffs w/ my Arcane mage though...I have one level of shiney surround for when Arcane Barrage procs and then another that will show up when Arcane Blast buff is stacked to 4. Added to that are three lights that light up when various gear procs/abilities are up (i.e. Lightweave, Trinket +SP proc, AP)...so basically, when all the lights are GO things explode... However, it's gotten to the point that the optimal rotation there really doesn't change based on the procs other than knowing 'Blast cast 4x...is ArcBar up or no?'. I think I can get it setup well w/ DK+Mage...it is much more cut and dry as to specifically what I need to track and when. Making an effective druid interface via PowerAura's might be a bit of a stretch though...but it looks like if I explore it a bit more fully then it should work. Just need to find a better way to translate time left on the buff into the PowerAura visual field, either with text, grow/shrink, or something. I think the other error I've made in setting up PowerAura is I'm more worried about 'pretty'...so the graphics aren't really distinct enough and tend to blend in. Will see what I can do with my long weekend!

This could probably go anywhere, but this is the most applicable to what I am using it for...I think by now most folks know about Rawr (if you don't, you should look it up). However, I only just came across the following gearing/dps simulator option...http://www.askmrrobot.com/WowSimulator.aspx and it seems VERY fun. Limited application at the moment in terms of classes/specs but the interface might appeal to some more than Rawr and definitely allows a bit easier comparability and best of all...i can access it at work! :)

While I'm recording feral-like things for all posterity...most of my random feral obsession of the moment come from trolling druid blogs, so thought I'd share the main ones I frequent :)
